Sue Shore came to New Zealand in 1999 as a technology teacher. She attended Manchester Metropolitan University in England and achieved a B Ed (Hons) Degree in Design and Technology.
Sue learned to make silver jewellery in 2003 and discovered that making silver jewellery was an enchanting way of expressing her love of life in New Zealand. Sue's jewellery has been available at design stores and galleries throughout New Zealand since 2006. Sue continues to capture the natural movements of our amazing surroundings in her jewellery, aiming to transform her view of the beauty of New Zealand's native birds and plants into pieces of body adornment. She teaches ‘Making Jewellery with Sue Shore on the sea shore’ at Alfred Memelink’s Artspace Gallery in Petone. Sue is now a member of MainArtery, which is for artists in the Wairarapa. She is also a member of the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts. |
